I'm Kerry, and I'm honored to walk with you on this journey

I’ve always been a communicator—whether it was my first gig in marketing at one of the top 10 newspapers in the U.S., my work as a PR manager for a nonprofit, or my years as a freelance writer. Words have always been my way in. But it wasn’t until a coffee date in 2018 that my memoir journey truly began. After 19 years as a political spouse (yes, my husband is a recovering politician), a friend looked at me and asked, “How do you do this?”Raise two kids. Keep a marriage alive. Nurture friendships. Build a personal identity in the shadow of public life. That question planted the seed. And the story that had been simmering in my soul for years finally asked to be written. The road was anything but smooth.I wrestled with self-doubt, danced with imposter syndrome, and got completely overwhelmed by the mystery of publishing and promotion. But I kept going. I asked questions. I studied. I figured out how to write the my book - and how to get it out into the world. Now, I get messages every week from aspiring authors who tell me:“I want to write a book, but I don’t know where to start.”“I’m afraid no one will care.”“I feel weird promoting myself.” To all of that, I say: I hear you. I’ve been there. And you are not alone. When someone asks me, “Should I write my story?”I borrow the wisdom a childhood friend once gave me:If it’s in your heart, then do it. If the dream of telling your story has been tapping on your shoulder, I want to help you answer it.
